Warm Weather

This awesome weather has given me the itch to go outside and draw. I am loving it and am now going to share it with you.

This first picture is the one I looked at while drawing the other one. I don't usually like to show people the original picture because then you can see m mistakes. But I thought I would show you this one because now you can kind of see how I draw my sketches.

Day 15?

Hey everybody, sorry it has been so long. I should really start renaming these posts because I am so behind. Anyway, here are some things that I did just this past week.

These are three oil color paintings I got for Christmas from the Crydermans. (Big thanks to you guys.) Had fun working with this kind of paint, it was a little tricky at first but I figured it out. It's kind of like water color paint, exept instead of water you use oil.

In school on Wednesday we made clay creations. It was air dry clay, so the next day I painted it.

I was making a mess

But I cleaned it all up, just like I do with everything else :)

While I was painting Jayme and Chase were making a mess of their own.

Day 14: Signs of Spring

This day will be extended tomorrow when I add another sign of winters end. But until then all I have is one lonesome picture. This came out of the same book I got the car from.

Speaking of lonesome picture I thought I would just share with you some of my lonesomeness (not totally sure if that's a word but lets just go with it) Anyway, I feel like I am talking to no one when I right on here. Maybe I am...there could be hundreds of you people but nobody comments. So just for my own...oh I don't know the word...just for me could you please comment when you read this, it would make me feel so much better. Thanks y'all!

Day 13: Forgotten Ford

I am trying to to do more still life just because I haven't really done very much of it and I am want to be able to more things than just cartoons. This picture is from a book that shows you how to do still life. Tomorrow I will put on some pictures of what this guy has done, he is amazing. Mine is not even close to what his looked like but it's as close as I could get if I didn't want to take all day. Just this took me at least an hour.

Day 12: Presidents Day

Well I ran out of topics. The place I was getting topics from stopped putting them on so I ma making up my own now. And since today is Presidents Day I thought something in that to wit presidents would be appropriate.

Day 10 and 11: "The Monster Under Your Bed" and "Something Slimy"

Sorry I haven't kept up with my promise but I did draw a few things. Like I said before my creative juices are gone but hopefully will be back soon.

This is the monster under my bed. I never really thought there was a monster under my bed but if I had thought that this is probably something that I would have imagined. It's a little Pirates of the Caribbean.

This is something slimy. You have no idea how long it took me to come up with something for this topic. I just kept thinking of worms and that's boring everybody can draw a worm. But now I can think of a lot of things, oh well. Here is what I finally came up with.

Jayme got a rose for Valentines Day from her cell group leaders so when I was bored I saw her colored pencils sitting by it and started drawing. She got made at me. Anyway, I only used colored pencils and those don't erase (I know some people say they do, but if you want your picture to look good then they don't work.) Anyway my point is, it isn't as good as it could of been if I used a pencil.

This is Chases rose, he was trying to show me how to draw a rose. It's probably pretty hard to tell the difference between the two but this one is his.

Chase has to do a book report for school so he made a little forest out of Lego's to show the setting of the book. I think it's pretty cool!

And these are some scrumptious scones my mom made this morning.

Day 9: The Otherside of the Black Hole

Just one picture today, I can feel my creative juices flowing right out of me. It happens, I just run out of it. Then maybe a few months later I get them all back for about a month or two then they leave me again, I don't know why. Anyway, I will keep on with the challenge even though they might not turn out very well. So this is my sketch of the other side of the black hole. I don't actually think this is what is on the other side of the black hole from a scientific standpoint but I think this cartoon is funny, and it's better than just drawing a big black whole.

If you can't read what these two are saying, the wife says "Yes, got another one!" then the husband replies with "Honey, I told you to stop sucking stuff out of that hole. You're just gonna make 'em mad."

Day 8: What's on Your Mind

Well today we went to see Tangled. It wasn't that bad actually, and we had the whole theater to ourselves, so we sat wherever we wanted to and my mom threw popcorn at Chase. Anyway, I drew this before we went to see it, so that is what was on my mind. Also take into consideration I drew this before the movie so I wasn't really sure what she looked like.

This is just a sketch of the necklace that was sitting on my desk that I quickly drew.

Day 7: A Scene or Character From a Dream of Yours

Well, you who know me know that this was a hard decision to make. I have so many dreams, but I as thought back and remembered them I realized I only remember scary dreams. Now I don't know why it just is, so if any of you remember a good dream I have had and told you about, refresh my memory, it would really be nice.

Okay, so this is a dream I had when I was like 5 or something and it was soooo scary. It took place in Vanderhill's (family friends) basement. There was a man at the top of the stair I don't know who it was, and there was a lantern hanging from the ceiling, that was my only source of light. The man had a fork, he threw it at me and in just the nick of time I put my teddy bear up to stop the fork from hitting me. The picture shows the rest. (This is exactly how the dream looked to me)

When Chase prays at the dinner table he is not very good at getting right to the point, he takes a lot of time thinking and the other night this little comic just popped into my mind while he was praying.

(Jesus is saying "Oh man, not this kid again...just spit it out" Chase is saying "and umm...")

In art class, at pioneers, we are working on a project right now called printing I think, anyway we just started today and this is my thumbnail sketch of what it will look like. In the end it will be painted and bigger. These are the two ideas I had started out with, it is suppose to be kind of abstract so that's where the first idea came from but I like the second one better so that is the one I am sticking with.

Day 6: People Watching

Sorry this is late this is my first time not being on time. And of course the first fay people actually start reading this. Anyway, I did actually draw these on the correct day I just didn't have time to put it on here. So for the topic I first drew Isaac because he was over here all day yesterday and you are suppose to draw people around you. Sometimes they even call this Coffee shop sketches but I don't like coffee so why go to a coffee shop. But it also made me think of people watching you, so I drew that to.

This is just a cute picture of Isaac. Actually I don't think there is not a cute picture of Isaac. I know my sketch of him doesn't really look like him, sorry about that. I can draw people except for when it is suppose to be a specific person.

Day 5: Breakfast Pet

I have a couple of sketches that I did for this challenge. This first one is not the best, and I did it in color because without it I don't think you would have been able to figure out what it is. If you still can't figure it out I'll give you a hint: It's sunny and it comes from a chicken.

Okay if you still can't figure it out it's an egg done sunny side up. It is the lions face and mane.

These two should be a little better.

I know this blog is mainly for my art challenge but I like to take pictures, and photography is a form of art, these photos just don't fit with the topic of the day.

Day 4: What do you want to be when you grow up?

When I grow up I want to be a psychiatrist/psychologist (I can't remember which is which.) Hopefully it will be a little more exciting than this drawing is portraying. I would like to work mainly with teens but not a counselor in a school. Just hang out with the kids. (The lady is saying "How does that make you feel?" if you can't read that.)

These are just some extra sketches I did to make up for yesterdays disaster.

Snow White with the evil lady, she wasn't a witch so I don't really know what they called her. The greedy queen, evil stepmother, no that's been taken. Oh well, I don't know.

I drew this in church today. I was paying attention don't worry. It is the communion cup and wafer plate.

This I drew in honor of the Super Bowl. Well the face isn't really he was just a fun side bar thing.

Jamie's not very photogenic, she seems to always try to scare the photographer away.

Chase is though, that's why I used him as my model for photography class and he is the one who offered.

Day 3: Super Me!

I really don't like this drawing it didn't turn out well at all, but I wanted to stick to the challenge so here it is. It's suppose to be me as a super hero, so I drew me as the super hero I would like to be. I can fly, and my gloves help me climb walls. I wore tennis shoes because super heroes do a lot of running around, I also wore sweats instead of tights cuz I really didn't want to have to wear tights, I guess the sweats are still a little tight though, oh well. My hair is suppose to be pulled back but it looks like I have really short bangs. And me cool motor cycle cuz I need a ride of course. It's not very good but I wasn't really sure what they look like. Chase is my sidekick haha. He can also fly and turn into a wolf thing,(that's what he wanted to be.) For some reason whenever I color my drawings I never like them so I don't usually but these last two challenges I thought needed them but they aren't my favorite.

This is my very first drawing that I did in a sketch book. Unfortunately there is no date but I think I was in 3rd grade. My mom had gotten me a Mickey mouse drawing book, that taught you how to draw Mickey and his friends. I just remember erasing A LOT and getting really frustrated.

Lizzie the Lizard

Lizzie is the lizard I got from school and am taking care of this summer. So every once in a while I take her out of her cage and let her run around in my room and then I take her outside sometimes even. When she is outside she never moves around she just sits there and looks around. In the manual Mrs. Kelly gave me it says that it is good to take them outside because of the vitamins that they get from the sun. So the other day I had taken Lizzie outside and we had been out a while so I was just about to take her back inside. Then she started looking around up in the sky. All of a sudden she puffed up. (Lizzie is a Bearded Dragon so if something scares her she will puff up like a frog when they rib-it. I also have some pictures of her when she puffs up.) Then she took off running toward my neighbor’s yard. They have a chain linked fence so I thought she would stop, but no she just kept on running. I started freaking out and knew I would be in big trouble if we couldn't find her. So I ran inside and told my mom. She was on the phone so she quickly told them she had to go and called out Jamie, Chase and his friend Tyler Blume outside and to come help look for Lizzie. We looked and look for about 5 minutes and there was no sign of her. So my mom called us and we took a minute to pray and asked God to help us find her. Then about two minutes later after crawling around on our knees there she is up next to our neighbor's shed. We were so thankful, and I am never taking her outside again that is for sure.

My Grandma

My Grandma Jo lives down in FL and came to visit this week. She stayed in Jamie's room so Jamie slept on Chases floor. My grandma got me and my sister into rubber stamping, and is a always sending us letters telling us that she wishes we write more. So one day I drew a picture of a cute little cartoon skunk and sent it to her. She loved it, and named it Stinky and framed it. While my grandma was here we went miniature golfing (I will put in pictures soon.) One of the days my grandma was here I introduced her to a game called OTHELLO. I beat her pretty well and so the rest of the week we had to play at least 2-3 games a day. I beat her at all of them but two. We also played a lot of card games. So my grandma is pretty exciting at times and loved to tell us about her child hood. There were some pretty interesting stories.

Summer

This summer has been so busy. First I went camping, that was fun. We were at Vanburen state park in South Haven over on Lake Michigan. The only problem was that the beach was covered in rocks. You had to walk at least 15 feet into the lake for it to get sandy. Then, a couple days after I went to TN with my youth group, that was tons of fun. We worked at this recreation center that was in this small town. The town was kind of like down town Jackson. The kids were so sweet though. We we only with them for 2 days but we just got attached. Everyone was in tears by the time it was time to go. I wish I had some pictures but I only brought disposable cameras. Well then after all of that I got a couple weeks off. Then we went camping again. This time the beach was much nicer, but the bugs were awful. The best part in my opinion throughout that whole trip was that we got to go to the lake and we stayed in a hotel one of the nights. The reason for that was because there was a big storm. There was hail and 60mph winds. Are stuff was soaking wet. So we went to a Comfort Inn.

Having Fun!

I went to my Grandparents pool yesterday and the day before that and the day before that and so on. We go there every day every day of the summer for as long as I can remember. But unfortunately this is the last summer. The lining in the pool is wearing out and it is very expensive. We are very worried how we will stay in touch after the pool is gone. We would be there for hours then as soon as we are about leave at the spur of the moment someone would ask if another person could spend the night. and that is what happend yesterday so right know i am a t Tessa's and she is playing the piano. She just finished explaining how to make blog. The song called Write a Letter to Me by Brad Paisley is just a song i heard on CMT it is just a random song, but Happy is a song by Ayiesha Woods That I heard at the revolve tour my youth group went on. Well I am not that good at blogging yet but I am trying to get the hang of it.
